Aylesford & District Dog Training Society
Autumn newsletter 2018
The Chairman, Officers and Committee would like to welcome all old and new members to the society; the new committee was elected at the AGM in February this year. Ann Billson was elected as Chairman of the society. Karen Bates joined the committee as a full member. We have had a couple of resignations from the committee due to health problems and workloads. Shaun Wakelen has stepped down as a Committee member and webmaster. And Andrea Rockell has stepped down from the committee but hopes to continue as GCDS Gold/Silver Trainer and Bronze Examiner. Sarah Rockell has stepped down as GCDS KC Co-ordinator this will now be taken on by the Hon Secretary. Tony Bartolo has agreed to take over as webmaster and is currently working on the website to update it. We thank our retiring members for their help and work over the years.
Chairman: Ann Billson, Treasurer: Barbara Brown, Secretary: Suzanne Kerée-Bartolo
Committee: Stephanie Ramsbottom, Karen Bates, Vacancy, Vacancy, Vacancy, Vacancy.
We do have four vacancies for Committee members and would be grateful of any help that the members could give with setting up in the evening and putting things away at the end of the evening.
At a previous AGM it was agreed that members would take their own chairs out and put them back before they leave. Please assist us by doing this.
If you are interested in joining the committee please let us know as new members are co-opted onto the committee and voted for at the next AGM on the 6th February 2019. Proposals for the AGM agenda or Committee will be received from Members up until two weeks before the meeting. Only items on the agenda can be discussed as per KC rules.
We send our deepest sympathy and condolences to our member Cindy Wilson and Family on the loss of her mother Jackie Wilson of Tahir Afghan hounds & Whippet, Jackie was a long-term member of the club and had been since the 1980’s on and off. Jackie will be sadly missed R.I.P.
We are pleased to hear that Michael, Gabrielle & Alfie are on the mend after the terrible acid attack that happened when Michael was out with Alfie walking last month. They have asked us to pass on their thanks for all of your good wishes and contributions to our collection for them, they are touched and very grateful. It is probable that the attackers had been watching the times when Michael had been walking Alfie and hid in bushes waiting for him.
Please try and vary when and where you walk your dogs and be vigilant of strangers.

Please do not take dogs into the toilets and please do not bring bitches in season to the club.
Please do not leave dog hair in the hall, on the seats or in the grounds of the venue.
Please do not hang about in the car park after 10pm as the gates may be closed by the trustees and you could become trapped overnight. There is a car park across the road if you wish to stop and chat after club.
